If You Want Blood You’ve Got It

By 1978, AC/DC was running at full throttle. Bassist Cliff Williams had recorded his first album with the band, Powerage, and the band had settled into its first truly classic line-up, with Angus and Malcolm Young on guitars, Phil Rudd on drums, and the inimitable Bon Scott on lascivious lead vocals. The tour following that album was nothing but magic. The band was still playing theatres and clubs throughout Europe, gradually taking the world by storm. Fortunately, several of the dates were recorded (including the infamous Apollo gig in Glasgow, Scotland) and the best performances are assembled here as If You Want Blood You've Got It, a monumental live album in hard rock history.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
• Recorded LIVE on the band's 1978 POWERAGE tour
• Features the LIVE classics "Whole Lotta Rosie," "The Jack" and "Riff Raff"
• 16-page full-colour booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Rich Bienstock.

FLY ON THE WALL

AC/DC's success in the early 1980's proved to be a double-edged sword. The mere fact that Back In Black became one of the biggest selling albums of all time put heavy pressure on the band to deliver big hits, and it also made hard rock a sought-after commodity. Therefore, record labels were now looking to AC/DC to lead the way while signing second and third rate knock-offs, which only served to cannibalize the band's loyal fan base. Hard rock had become a pop music and fashion trend! But if one thing holds true about AC/DC, it's that trends be damned. They have always made exactly the music they have wanted, and that's exactly what Fly On The Wall represents. 1985, 1995, 1975 - it doesn't matter. This is AC/DC and this is timeless.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
• Features the classics "Fly On The Wall," "Shake Your Foundations" and "Sink The Pink"
• Deluxe digipak includes all original LP artwork.
• 16-page full-colour booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Brian Ives.

FLICK OF THE SWITCH

By 1983, AC/DC were enjoying the success of being the world's biggest rock band. Following two blockbuster albums with singer Brian Johnson (Back In Black and For Those About To Rock We Salute You) and massive sold-out world tours, the members of AC/DC (Angus and Malcolm Young on guitar, Cliff Williams on bass and Phil Rudd on drums) were generally tired of the pomp and circumstance that came with it all. After all, this was the rough-and-tumble bar band from Australia who only a few years ago were fighting to win over club crowds. So the band decided to strip away all of the excesses and get back to basics. No more major producers (the band produced themselves for the first time), no more slick management deals and a simple sketch for an album cover made Flick Of The Switch an old-fashioned stripped-down rock album--the kind they make best.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
• Features the classics "Flick Of The Switch," "Nervous Shakedown" and "Guns For Hire"
• Deluxe digipak embossed - just like original LP!
• 16-page full-colour booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Brad Tolinski.

BLOW UP YOUR VIDEO

Sick and tired of the pop and pop-metal that was being heralded by MTV in 1988, AC/DC released the aptly titled Blow Up Your Video, a major reaction to the slick image-intensive bands that the music television format had spawned. While other bands who had always sighted AC/DC as an influence (many of whom opened for the band on their way up) became increasingly popular, the trappings of rock stardom began to creep into the genre, rendering many so-called "hair bands" ridiculous clones of one another. This was diametrically opposed to AC/DC's stripped-down rock credo--something the band had stuck to since their early days. So, what to do if the genre you helped create turns on you? You stick to your guns, crank up the volume, and simply blow them all away.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
• Features the classics "Heatseeker" and "That's The Way I Wanna Rock N Roll"
• Deluxe digipak includes all original LP artwork.
• 16-page full-colour booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Alan DiPerna.

‘74 JAILBREAK

When AC/DC first signed a US record deal in 1976, they had a backlog of two albums worth of material. High Voltage, the band's first US album was combination of what was seen as the best of the material of those two Australian releases. To celebrate 10 years of recording, the band released the '74 Jailbreak EP in the US in 1984, containing 4 tracks from the 1974 sessions, as well as "Jailbreak", originally omitted from the US release of Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap. At the time, AC/DC was the biggest band in the world, and this was their way of reflecting on their roots and giving their fans a gift of essentially unreleased early recordings.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
• Never before released in Australia
• Features the classics "Jailbreak" and "Show Business"
• Deluxe digipak includes all original LP artwork.
• 12-page full-colour booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Australia’s own, Murray Engelheart.

High Voltage

Despite releasing two successful albums in Australia, and gaining a significant buzz in music circles, by 1976 AC/DC couldn't find a US record company. Much like the Beatles' initial success, an American company finally caught on and decided to combine several tracks from the existing albums to create High Voltage. It served as a perfect primer to the stripped-down, blues-inflected style that is AC/DC. Tracks like "T.N.T." and "The Jack" quickly caught the rest of the world up to the antics on the Young brothers and Bon Scott.

Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Already huge stars in their native Australia, AC/DC released their third album, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap in 1976. Unaware of the future world domination that would be unleashed by the band, their US record company passed - not releasing the album until 1981, when Back In Black was a smash success. The album became an instant classic with its double entendres and school yard bullying. For US fans, Bon Scott was singing eerily from the grave about some of the most tawdry (and funny) subject matter known to man.

Highway To Hell

The first of three collaborations between AC/DC and producer "Mutt" Lange resulted in the band's first big hit in the US. Burning with songs about the classics: sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll, AC/DC was never more clear in their mission statement than on the title track. The album, and subsequent world tour (captured on film in the movie "Let There Be Rock") would prove to be a tragically bittersweet victory, with the untimely death of charismatic singer Bon Scott just 6 months after its release.

Back In Black

The headline said it all: "AC/DC signs up a 'plain' singer". After all, what could the boys from Australia do after TRAGICALLY losing Bon Scott, one of the greatest front men of all time? They needed to start fresh and that's exactly what they did. With new singer Brian Johnson, AC/DC set out to prove that they still had it and ended up crafting a tribute to their late friend and coincidentally one of the biggest albums of all time.

REISSUE HIGHLIGHTS
* Deluxe digipak embossed - just like the original LP!
* 16 page booklet contains many unpublished photos, classic memorabilia, and new liner notes by Rolling Stone's David Fricke.

Live

Following the much-deserved success of their 1990 album The Razors Edge, AC/DC embarked on a world tour of epic proportions. Giant cages, firing cannons, a fiery devil head, an inflatable "Rosie", the Hells Bell and money with Angus' face on it were all props in this massive trek across the globe. Fortunately, the shows were captured in all of their sonic glory and released as both single and double CD sets in 1991.

Let There Be Rock

Or to quote Bon Scott at his bloodcurdlingly best, "Letthereberock!" It's not just a statement, it's a command. In truth AC/DC's second international album with its mock biblical moniker should have been subtitled "In the beginning..." The reason being it marks in scorched earth terms the point at which Australians launched a hugely successful bid for the title belt as THE world beating rock band complete with a deliciously fresh metallic sheen of a sound. Each song simply tears out of the speaker cones.

Powerage

Merited for its song variety, artistic expression and sonic clarity, Powerage is favoured by many aficionados to be AC/DC's most accomplished performance in a studio setting.
Recorded in Australia circa 1978, Powerage also ushered in a new era of sorts, for it marked the debut of London, England bassist Cliff Williams, whose driving, eighth-note bottom brought AC/DC's attack to full calibre. A quarter of a century later, Cliff's bandmate tenure is only surpassed by rhythm guitarist (and founding member) Malcolm Young and his lead guitarist younger brother, Angus.
As they had masterfully done on the band's prior albums, older sibling George Young and cohort Harry Vanda produced Powerage, their final turn as AD/DC studio recording collaborators during the Bon Scott era.

For Those About To Rock, We Salute You

As the summer of 1981 rolled into its final days, AC/DC had good reason to be optimistic. After eight years of slugging it out in rock's minor leagues, the five-piece Australian juggernaut had risen to the majors on the brawny back of two instant classics: 1979's Highway To Hell and it's follow up, 1980's commercial blockbuster Back In Black, both produced by Robert John "Mutt" Lange. AC/DC were officially one of the world's biggest groups.

Who Made Who

Horror movies and heavy metal have always made a fiendishly fun combination. Back in 1986, the most maniacal pairing was between spine-chilling author Stephen King and bombastic hard rock purveyors AC/DC. When the modern master of the macabre commanded the director's chair for the film Maximum Overdrive, he invited his musical heroes to supply the raucous soundtrack. Along with offering six choice catalogue cuts, the Australian band composed three new tracks and several incidental pieces, then assembled Who Made Who, a nine-song collection that became the sleeper hit of their enduring career.

The Razor's Edge

Are you read for a good time? Then you've come to the right place.
The Razor's Edge is a prime slice of AC/DC: all killer riffs and tough-as-nails songcraft. Nor is there any lack of the lads' signature, slyly salacious lyrics touching the eternal verities: hard liquor, cheap sex, fast money and the endless quest for a good time. Like all AC/DC albums, The Razor's Edge is designed to rock you. But beyond that, the 1990 release marked a pivotal point in the long and eventful career of rock's most enduring riot brigade.
