AC/DC, in its network television debut, and the self-proclaimed "most electrifying man in sports-entertainment," World Wrestling Federation superstar "The Rock" (a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson) helped cook up Saturday Night Live's highest ratings of the season and attract an estimated 20 million viewers on March 18, 2000.

During Saturday's show, hosted by "The Rock" and featuring fellow WWF heavyweights "Triple H" "The Big Show" and "Mankind" (a.k.a. Mick Foley), WWF boss Vince McMahon and legendary rock band AC/DC, SNL averaged an 8.2 rating and 21 share in Nielsen Media Research's 47 metered markets (covering 65 percent of the country).

SNL attracted its highest rating since May 8, 1999, when Cuba Gooding, Jr. hosted the program, Monica Lewinsky made a special appearance and Ricky Martin was the show's musical guest.

NBC estimates that Saturday's show attracted an average of 10.4 million viewers from 11:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. and 20 million viewers watched at least a portion of the program.

Saturday Night Live, which premiered October 11, 1975, is from SNL Studios in association with Broadway Video. Lorne Michaels is the creator and executive producer.
